Eagle Days returns to Lake Springfield Park and the Springfield Conservation Nature Center Saturday, Jan. 26 and Sunday, Jan. 27, giving spectators the opportunity to learn more about eagles nesting near the shores of Lake Springfield during the winter months.
The annual event brings eagle-spotting opportunities to Lake Springfield Boathouse, 5324 S. Kissick Ave., Springfield. Participants are invited to bring binoculars, telephoto cameras or small telescopes, or use scopes provided by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Guided eagle spotting, with Park Board and Conservation Department staff, takes place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
